AGMK to increase charter capital up to 198.182bn soums

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Almalyk Mining and Metallurgy Combine (AGMK, Tashkent region) will raise its charter capital up to 198.182 billion soums, the company’s statement said.
According to the decision of shareholders, the combine will increase its charter capital from 161,488,184,400 soums to 198,181,888,522 soums through raising par value of shares from 1,800 soums to 2,209 soums due to capitalization of part of 2011 net income for 36,693,704,122 soums.
Shareholders entrusted the management of the combine to issue 87,466,100 ordinary and 2,249,558 preferred shares with par value of 2,209 soums each. Total sum of the issue is 191,181,888,522 soums.
The company’s shareholders also determined maximum size of announced shares, which the combine can place additionally to those floated. In line with the decision, the company can place 450,000 ordinary shares with par value of 2,209 soums.
Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine is one of the largest producer of nonferrous metal in Central Asia and only copper producer of Uzbekistan. AGMK produces 90% of silver and 20% of gold in Uzbekistan. The company has two mining enterprises, two concentrating plants and two metallurgy plants.
