Uzbekistan’s chemical industry increases output by 4%

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The volume of production of chemical goods in Uzbekistan rose by 4% year-on-year in January-July 2012, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.
In seven months, enterprises of the industry produced 746,700 tonnes of mineral fertilizers, which grew by 2.7% year-on-year.
In January-July 2012, Uzbekistan increased production of potash fertilizer by 22.4%, nitric fertilizers – by 0.1% and phosphatic manure – by 5.7%. The industry also increases output of plant protection products by 2.8% year-on-year.
Chemistry industry also increased production of carboxymethylcellulose (2.4 times), synthetic washing powder (49.4%), caustic soda (2.4%), polyethylene (4.1%), synthetic ammonia (4.2%), caustic soda (2.8%), hydrochloric acid (10.5%) and polypropylene bags (15.7%), nitric acid (2.1 times), acetaldehyde (32%), technical salt (29.6%), ammophos (19.7%), sulphuric acid (7.1%) and synthetic ammonia (2.9%).
