Uzbekistan, Russia sign agreement on processing irradiated fuel

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan and Russia signed intergovernmental agreement on cooperation on transporting irradiated fuel from research reactors to Russia, RIA Novosti reported Wednesday quoting source in the Government of Uzbekistan.
According to the document, irradiated fuel from research reactors in Uzbekistan will be transported to Russia for utilization and replacement to lowly enriched nuclear fuel, which will be returned to Uzbekistan.
The agency reported that the agreement was signed in Tashkent recently.
