Current trade balance surplus reaches US$3.8bn in Jan-Sep 2011

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Current trade balance surplus of Uzbekistan made up US$3.8 billion in January-September 2011, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said on 20 October 2011.
The committee said that the volume of foreign trade of Uzbekistan grew by 21.6% year-on-year compared to 0.3% in the same period of 2010.
The Uzbek statistics body said that Uzbekistan increased exports by 21.4% (+8.3% in January-September 2010) and imports by 21.8% (-9.9%).
As reported earlier, foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan made up US$15.507 billion in January-September 2010.
At the same time, some US$9.566 billion of total trade turnover of Uzbekistan fell to share of export operations and US$5.941 billion to import operations.
Current trade balance surplus in January-September 2010 made up US$3.625 billion, including with the CIS states – US$1.883 billion and other states – US$1.741 billion.
