Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Petrovietnam (Vietnam) is planning to expand programme of geologic exploration works in Uzbekistan due to study of new oil and gas fields in 2011-2015, the Vietnamese officials said.
During the Fifth session of the Inter-governmental commission on trade-economic and scientific-technical cooperation, First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Vietnam Le Danh Vinh said that the company will develop a five-year exploration programme for opening new oil and gas fields at Bukhara-Khiva oil and gas region of Uzbekistan by the end of 2011.
The programme was developed within the memorandum of understanding between Petrovietnam and Uzbekneftegaz, signed in April 2011.
