The committee said that the passenger turnover increased by 7.7% year-on-year and made up 16.4 billion pass-km.
The share of motor transport in passenger transportation and passenger turnover was the highest – 98% and 86.8% respectively.
The number of passengers carried by railway transport has increased by 2.8% and was 3.7 million persons, the passenger turnover has increased by 4.2% and totaled 689.1 million pas-km.
Some 450,800 persons were carried by air transport, which is 11,4% more than in January-March 2010, the passenger turnover was 1.328 billion pass-km or 12.3% higher than in January-March 2010.
Passenger transportation carried out by trolleybuses, trams and underground has decreased by 71.1%, 30.6% and 1.6% respectively.
