Over 1.5m electronic electricity meters installed in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Over 1.5 million electronic meters have been installed in Uzbekistan to ensure precise accounting consumers’ consumption of electricity.
The meters have been installed within the implementation of wide-scale state programme on energy saving, UzA reported.
Business entities installed over 285,000 meters. The modern meters are also installed at the enterprises of the Uzbekenergo state joint stock company.
The report said that the company will create automated system of control and accounting electricity along with introduction of electronic meters.
As earlier reported, Uzbekenergo started stage-by-stage implementation of automated system of control and accounting electricity.
