The largest number of enterprises fell to share of trade and catering (27.1% of total number of registered enterprises, agriculture (without farm entities – 20.8%), industry (12.1%) and construction (8%).
Share of non-state enterprises in total number of registered enterprises was 92.5%, including farm and dehkan entities – 52.8%, private enterprises – 21.3%, enterprises with foreign capital – 0.9, public companies – 0.3% and other enterprises – 17.2%.
In January-March 2010, about 15,900 enterprises and organizations have been registered in Uzbekistan. Significant number of them fell to share of Tashkent city (15.7% of total registered enterprises in the reporting period), Ferghana region (9.7%), Kashkadarya region (8.2%), Andijan region (7.1%) and Samarkand region (7.1%).
Largest number of newly registered enterprises was recorded in trade and catering (28.1% in total newly registered enterprises) agriculture (22.6%) and industry (17.1%).
In the reporting period, 8,400 enterprises and organizations were liquidated, including 1,000 on voluntary basis.
In the industrial structure, the largest share of enterprises was liquidated in agriculture (53.9%), trade and catering (20.8%) and industry (8.2%).
