Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A leak of a gas-air mixture could have caused an explosion in a cafe in the Kazakh city of Aktau, as a result of which the building was completely destroyed, TASS reported.
The preliminary cause of the explosion is possibly a gas-air mixture leak. Two gas cylinders have already been removed from the scene of the explosion. According to the owner of the establishment, under the rubble are two more gas cylinders with a capacity of 50 liters each.
No casualties were found at the scene of the explosion. Confirmed the words of the owner of the "Sherkala" complex that all workers left this building at the end of the working day from 18:00 to 20:00 local time.
Now at the site of the emergency, rescue operations are being carried out and the debris is cleared. More than 200 people and over 30 pieces of equipment take part in them. An operational headquarters was deployed at the scene.
On Sunday evening, an explosion occurred in a cafe in Aktau, as a result of which the building was completely destroyed. The cafe was located on the first floor of the two-storey Sherkala complex. It also housed a shop, sauna, service station and warehouses. The blast wave damaged 11 vehicles that were near the building.
