The secretary of the National Security Office at the President of the Republic of Poland Wladislav Stasiak met with the secretary of the National Security Council at the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Murat Ataev on 13 April, Jahon reported quoting the local newspapers.

During the meeting the sides underscored the fact that the Uzbek-Polish relations are successfully developing in all spheres based on the agreements concluded during the meetings of the heads of both countries. They also touched upon the international cooperation and regional security. The sides spoke about the need of countering the terrorism and extremism, contraband of narcotic substances and other threats.

The secretary Stasiak also held negotiations with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov.

Besides, the Polish delegation acquainted with the places of interest in Tashkent. In particular, the guests visited the Mustakillik Square and State Museum of History of Temur and His Dynasty.

They have also visited the Catholic Church in Tashkent and placed a wreath on the monument of Polish soldiers, who on the will of their fate during the years of the World War II had found themselves in the Uzbek soil and found eternal peace here.
