Pilgrims from Malaysia and Indonesia visit Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The State Committee of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development in cooperation with Uzbek tour operators and organizations of Malaysia and Indonesia organized a trip of pilgrims from these countries to visit holy sites in Bukhara, Samarkand and Tashkent.

Tourists visited the Imam Bukhari complex. Next to him, at the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, an international scientific research center named after Imam Bukhari and the School of Hadith Studies are built next to the building. New institutions will study the heritage of our great ancestors and the popularization of cultural heritage.

The guests visited the Bibi-honim mosque, Shakhi Zinda memorial complex, Mirzo Ulugbek observatory and other historical places and museums. They also visited the gardens and parks of the city, got acquainted with the exhibitions of folk art.

This trip is the first of a large-scale program for the reception of pilgrims from South-East Asia to Uzbekistan.
