Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Starting from the 2021-2022 academic year, a training program on pilgrim tourism is being introduced for 3-4 year students of higher educational institutions that train specialists in foreign languages.

The government of Uzbekistan issued a resolution "On additional measures for the development of domestic and pilgrim tourism."

Also, the training of specialists in the specialty "Management of cultural, natural and mixed heritage" will begin at the International University of Tourism "Silk Road", as well as "Archeology" - in Bukhara, Samarkand, Ferghana and Urgench state universities.

According to the document, from 1 March 2022, a qualifying examination will be held for employees of travel organizations, guides (guides-translators), tour guides and instructors-guides.

The decree approves the allocation of 90.5 billion soums for the repair of internal roads with a length of 36 km in the direction of the place of pilgrimage "Yetti pir" in Bukhara region.
