The festival will be one of the brightest events of the international tourism fair “The World of Leisure”, which will be organized by Uzbektourism and Advertisement Agency “Great Silk Road”.
The first pilaf festival was held in Tashkent on 18-19 April 2013. The event attracted interest of professionals, guests and citizens of Uzbekistan. The festival presented pilafs from various regions of Uzbekistan and each visitor had chance to taste them.
The upcoming festival will present various models of pilaf, including classic, Tashkent, Andijan, Ferghana, Samarkand, Chayhana, holiday pilafs, etc. Along with the pilaf, it is planned to present salads and snacks.
Professional cooks, representing each regions of Uzbekistan, will be presented at the festival, the organizers said.
The participants will also have chance to participate in master classes of chefs and get acquainted with secrets of cooking pilaf and new receipts.
The organizers said that traditional Uzbek music and dance groups will entertain the participants of the festival.
The contest of cooks in such nominations as the best cook, the best topical table, forgotten receipts, national salt, will be also held.
The festival will demonstrate culture of Uzbek people and help the participants to familiarize with process of cooking pilaf.
