Piaget, Montblanc masterpieces a feast for the eyes
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Upscale timepieces, exquisite baubles and deluxe pens were a feast for the eyes at the presentations by Montblanc and Piaget, two of the world’s leading brands, held on October 7 at Hotel Dedeman in Tashkent.

The timeless beauty of masterpieces by Montblanc and Piaget drew crowds of fans, art aficionados as well as local applied art masters and jewelers who see the shows as a source of inspiration and a great opportunity to learn of the latest trends in this exquisite art.

The representatives of the two companies, Boris Zavline, Montblanc’s regional director for Central Asia, Central and East Europe, and Ivan Chigvintsev, Piaget’s sales manager, readily answered questions from young Uzbek professionals concerning manufacture and craftsmanship.

Ivan Chigvintsev:

“Piaget showed its designs at Style.Uz Art Week last year under the guidance of Yelena Kolardel, the company’s director for Russia and CIS. So, last year’s presentation resulted in a decision to work in the local market here and we're happy to have remarkable partners here. I think the best way for us to acquaint the Uzbek public with our products is through Tashkent Art Week, which brings together so many people from all walks of life.”

Boris Zavline:

“Montblanc has been working in Uzbekistan for four years now. When our partners came up with a suggestion that we do a show as part of the Art Week, I accepted it with a great pleasure. And I’m happy I did, because this event is on a par with European fashion weeks. Everything has been organized with love and utmost professionalism.”

Jewelry shows by leading companies have become a regular in the agenda of the annual Style.Uz. Swiss jewelry maker Chopard has shown its designs as part of Style.Uz since 2008. In 2010, de Grisogono and Fabergé also staged presentations of their designs. Piaget debuted at Art Week in 2011 and this year it is back in Uzbekistan. It has been joined by Montblanc, a world-famous company that makes writing instruments, watches, jewelry and accessories.
