Photo exhibition "Heroes among us" started in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 19 May 2023, a grand opening of the open-air photo exhibition "Heroes among us" was held in Tashkent City Park. The photographs were taken by Ernest Kurtveliev, a photographer who is widely recognized both in our country and abroad.

The main goal of the unique photo project is to tell about the important role of the working person. The exhibition presents more than 40 photographs depicting the work of specialists in those professions that involve hard physical labor, require endurance, patience and fortitude. To create these images, the photographer went on creative expeditions, whose geography included various regions of Uzbekistan - from the Ferghana Valley to the territory of the Aral Sea.

"The image of a person has always occupied a leading place in any kind of visual art. Photography is no exception, where the portrait is the oldest and most common genre. There is nothing easier than getting an image of a person. And there is nothing more difficult than making this image expressive and interesting to the viewer "However, in violation of all the rules, whether it’s an unusual angle or light, an incorrect composition or an unusual pose of a model, the most interesting and sometimes stunning portraits are created. This is what the photo exhibition "Heroes Among Us" convinces us of, the photo artist noted.

In order to create the ERIELL Group project, filming tours were organized to such facilities as the Fergana Oil Refinery, the Mingbulak field in the Namangan region, the oil and gas fields of the Kashkadarya region, the Tebinbulak iron ore field of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, as well as drilling rigs operating on the shelf Aral Sea.

The emotionally filled works of Ernest Kurtveliev are united by a common idea - to convey to the viewer the uniqueness of each of the heroes of the photo portrait, whose contribution is often left in the shadows, but their work is important and necessary for the development of the economy and society of modern Uzbekistan.

Tashkent city administration invited Tashkent residents and guests of the capital to visit the first open-air photo exhibition "Heroes among us", which will last until 29 May.

It is important to note that this photo exhibition will also be presented in other regions of the country.
