PFL reorganizes Uzbek football leagues
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Executive Committee of Professional Football League of Uzbekistan (PFL) adopted decision to reorganize the football leagues.

From next season, Oliy Liga will be renamed into SuperLeague of Uzbekistan, while the First Division will become Pro-League of Uzbekistan, the UFF said.

Twelve teams will feature in the SuperLeague and they play total 38 games in one season. After 33 matches, top teams will be divided into two groups. Top six teams will play for title, while others will fight to keep their place in the league.

After 38 matches, the team, which will be on 12 place, will be relegated to Pro-League. The eleventh team will play play-off matches with the club, which took the second place in Pro-League.

Pro-League will consist of 16 teams. They will play 30 matches a season. The winner will be promoted to the SuperLeague. The second placed team will play in play-off matches with the eleventh team of the SuperLeague.
