Personnel Changes in Uzbekistan’s Security Council: Tal’at Valiev, Bakhodir Makhmudov, and Shovkiddin Karshiyev Dismisse

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan has issued a decree relieving Tal’at Valiev of his duties as Deputy Secretary of the Security Council under the President, responsible for public security matters. The announcement was made by the President’s spokesperson, Sherzod Asadov.

Valiev had held this position since February 2022. Prior to that, he served as Deputy Chairman of the National Committee on Statistics, overseeing the information technology sector.

According to a directive of the Presidential Administration, Bakhodir Makhmudov has also been dismissed from his role as head of the Security Council’s sector for ensuring the fulfillment of international obligations in the field of human rights and humanitarian cooperation.

In addition, Shovkiddin Karshiyev has left his position as Chief Advisor of the sector for issues related to the security of the state border and protection of territories from emergency situations.
