Perfectum Mobile to launch EV-DO network in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Rubicon Wireless Communication, providing mobile communication services under Perfectum Mobile brand in Uzbekistan, is planning to launch high speed data transfer network EV-DO Rev.A for commercial use in Tashkent in near future.

The company did not clarify the exact date of the launch of the network, but said in a statement that it will be commissioned very soon.

EV-DO is a technology of the third generation mobile networks (3G), which is developed within CDMA technology. It allows to transfer data at higher speed compared to CDMA 2000 1X.

The operator said that the modernization of network to EV-DO level will allow users of Perfectum Mobile to use advantages of high speed mobile internet.

The maximum speed of the network will grow from current 153 Kbps to 3.1 Mbps, the operator said.

Rubicon Wireless Communication was founded in November 1995 as a mobile communication operator in Uzbekistan.

The company launched D-AMPS digital network for commercial use in 1997. In 2001, the company introduced CDMA standards under Perfectum Mobile brand.

In 2014, the operator launched a new network based on CDMA 2000 1X standard, which allowed to increase data transfer speed from 14 Kbps to 153 Kbps.
