Payment operators resumed the work of previously suspended services

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Payme, Click and Apelsin payment operators have resumed local payment services through QR code scanning, barcode scanning, Telegram channels and integration with marketplace applications.

Earlier today, Payme, Click and Apelsin suspended some services due to technical work on the fiscalization of all payments.

The State Tax Committee of Uzbekistan required payment operators to issue a fiscal receipt and integrate with the information systems of the tax authorities. From 1 November, the State Tax Committee decided to punish operators for non-compliance with this requirement.

Payment operators, in order to avoid penalties, have suspended the ability to pay on the spot.

Representatives of the State Tax Committee and payment operators held a meeting today. The State Tax Committee said in a statement that since the last meeting in October, when the working group was created, "fruitful work has been done to further integrate information systems."

The agency notes that the State Tax Committee, for its part, creates the necessary conditions for electronic payment organizations to fiscalize their payments and does not set itself the goal of punishing entrepreneurs. “At the same time, maximum technical support efforts will be made on our part and practical assistance will be provided in order to ensure compliance by electronic payment organizations with the current legislation,” the State Tax Committee said in its statement.

After the meeting, payment operators began to report the resumption of previously suspended services. At the same time, Apelsin announced the return of payment from suppliers, by QR code and payment on the spot until November 15. The company asked suppliers to provide the IKPU code before this date.
