Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Following the results of four months since the beginning of the year, the passenger traffic of Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov amounted to 1.92 million passengers, exceeding last year’s figures by 42%. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Transport.

1.29 million passengers were served on domestic airlines (+337.7 thousand people, 135.4%). A small number of international flights carried 631,500 passengers, which is 57% more than last year.

Cargo turnover from January to April 2023 increased by 119% and amounted to 2.95 thousand tons compared to the same period in 2022.
