Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree strengthening parliamentary control in this area”.

According to the decree, a procedure is being introduced for the annual discussion in the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the national report on improving the position of the Republic of Uzbekistan in priority international ratings and indices.

When approving the list of priority international ratings and indices, the Senate of the Oliy Majlis will appoint responsible ministries and departments for the corresponding international ratings and indices.

The first heads of ministries and departments will be personally responsible for improving the position of the republic in priority international ratings and indices approved by the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, as well as for achieving target indicators.

The Republican Council for Work with International Ratings and Indices is assigned the following tasks:

- Discussion of the work carried out by responsible ministries and departments to achieve targets for improving the position of the republic in priority international ratings and indices.

- Strengthening the republic’s position in priority international rankings and indices, including interaction with research institutions.

- Organization of the preparation of the national report and its preliminary consideration.

- Ensuring compliance of fundamental changes carried out in various areas with the goals of improving the country’s position in priority international ratings and indices, as well as taking measures to solve problems that impede the effectiveness of work in this direction.
