Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — At a session of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, lawmakers approved a draft law "On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Improve the System Supporting the Donor Movement."

The document expands social support measures for citizens awarded the honorary badge "Honorary Donor of the Republic of Uzbekistan."

Specifically, these individuals are granted the right to choose a convenient time for their annual leave, use all types of urban public transport free of charge (excluding route and linear taxis), and receive priority access to treatment vouchers for health resorts and sanatoriums.

The adoption of this bill aims to support and motivate donors, foster a culture of voluntary blood donation, and further develop the donor movement with active citizen participation.

The bill was passed by lawmakers in its third reading.
