Paris, the capital city of France, has hosted an exhibition on "Treasury of Uzbekistan is handicraft and tourism". It was organized by the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry and "Sen yolgiz emassan" Charity Fund of Uzbekistan.
The main goal of the wide-scaled exhibition is to acquaint people and guests of Paris with the ancient culture and art of Uzbekistan. The organizers aspired to demonstrate the Uzbek national roots and customs preserved till the present, Uzbekistan Today reported.
The visitors passed along the exhibition hall several times and shared their impressions, admiring the beauty and wealth of the old culture of Uzbekistan. The Director of French International News Channel Mari-Lore Brie noted: "It is an original exhibition where we see the objects of oldest traditional arts with modern creation and new successes of man’s fantasy. Bravo, Uzbekistan is for modernism with conserving its classical roots".
An exhibition visitor Katrin Bonsenn: "I am pleasantly shocked with wonderful gold-embroidery goods created on basis of thousand-year traditions. They remind that Uzbekistan is situated on the intersection of the Great Silk Road. I am so happy to see with my own eyes such graceful things in Paris".
An exhibition visitor Taya Masiogi, post-graduate: "I am impressed by the miniatures. I want to go immediately to Uzbekistan. For me, this is a discovery of a completely new world, such a far, bright, graceful and wise one". The Paris Info informs that "the participants of this cultural event, Uzbek masters and artists were pleased with demonstrating their works to the Paris audience. They were glad to communicate with those visitors who expressed interest in the displays".
