Sports 28/11/2007 Pakhtakor set for six in a row
Pakhtakhor outlined their class with a stunning 11-0 round 27 win over Qyzylqum that moved Ravshan Haydarov’s side up to 75 points, seven clear of second-place Kuruvchi with three games left to play.

Goals from Timur Kapadze, Renat Bayramov, Zaynitdin Tadjiyev and his younger brother Kamoliddin put Pakhtakor 4-0 up within the first quarter-of-an-hour before further strikes from Bayramov and Zaynitdin saw the reigning champions establish a commanding six-goal lead at the break.

Zaynitdin got his third in the 56th minute before a hat-trick from Nigerian striker Uche Iheruome and an Alexander Geynrikh effort all within the space of five minutes completed the biggest win of the season.

Kuruvchi kept their slim title hopes alive by winning 3-0 away against Tractor while Mash’al consolidated their third-place position by defeating Tupalang at home by an identical score line.

AFC Champions League 2007 qualifiers Neftchi enjoyed a 4-1 away win over bottom-of-the-table Vobkent while Andijan also won on the road thanks to Doniyor Hamidullaev’s 25th minute winner against Locomotive.

The remaining round 27 matches all ended in 2-1 wins for the home teams with Navbakhor seeing off Shurtan; Samarqand Dynamo beating Bukhoro; and Metallurg proving their mettle against Nasaf.
