The club said that the sides signed one year contract, but they extend the agreement for another twelve months.
Pakhtakor Vice President Samvel Babayan said that the club aims high goals in 2012. He said that the club signed new players. Among them are Azamat Bobojonov, Aleksey Nikolaev, Alisher Mahmudov and Bakhriddin Vahobov.
Dejan Durdevic stated that the team should show attractive football and achieve positive results. He said that the club plans to show good performance in AFC Champions League.
Dejan Durdevic worked as head coach in various clubs in Serbia. He also worked as head coach of various youth teams of Serbia and Montenegro. Prior to appointment, he managed OFK Beograd.
