Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Paid government services in Uzbekistan will soon be accessible through banking and financial applications. This was announced by Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov in an interview with the Uzbekistan 24 TV channel.

According to the minister, the main objective is to expand access to public services beyond official platforms by integrating them into user-friendly banking and financial app interfaces. He recalled that last year, a pilot project was launched to offer free public services through such apps, and now the President has instructed that these platforms be permitted to provide paid services as well.

"Since users are already actively engaged with the interfaces of these applications, it will be much more convenient for them to access paid government services without having to switch to other platforms," Shermatov emphasized.

The minister also reported that, under the President’s directive, all online government services must be integrated into the unified portal My.gov.uz. Furthermore, the goal is to ensure that at least 70% of all government services at various levels are available in digital format via this portal.

However, Shermatov pointed out that achieving this target requires proactive efforts from government agencies themselves, particularly in terms of implementing modern information systems and digitizing internal processes.
