Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Residents of Uzbekistan can now take advantage of the opportunity to make purchases on Ozon and receive goods in any region of the country.

The platform offers a rich assortment of more than 20 product categories, including books, clothing, food and health products.

At the initial stage, buyers in Uzbekistan can receive their orders at partner delivery points and at 1,660 Uzbekistan Post offices, with an average delivery time of 12 days.

In 2024, it is planned to develop Ozon’s logistics infrastructure in the country, including the creation of warehouse complexes and delivery services. The company is also actively developing a franchise network of branded points for issuing and receiving orders, which will significantly reduce delivery times for goods.

Alexey Sapon, Director of Operations and Development at Ozon in the CIS, emphasized that Uzbekistan is a large economy in Central Asia with huge potential for the development of e-commerce. Ozon provides more than 100 million products to residents of the republic and will continue to develop infrastructure to provide new opportunities for convenient online shopping. The company’s key priority in Uzbekistan is to reduce the delivery time of goods and provide a high level of service.

In addition, Ozon specialists will conduct training events for local entrepreneurs with the support of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan. The company also plans to actively participate in improving the regulation of e-commerce and cross-border trade in the republic. Ozon began developing its business in the CIS in 2021 and already has logistics infrastructure in Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
