Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During the 44th General Assembly of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), held in New Delhi, the Secretary General of Uzbekistan’s National Olympic Committee (NOC), Oybek Kasimov, was elected as a member of the OCA Ethics Committee.
A lawyer by profession, Oybek Kasimov has extensive experience in the legal field, particularly in sports law. He also serves as Deputy Chairman of the Legal Committee of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
In his new role within the OCA Ethics Committee, Kasimov will be able to apply his expertise to protect the rights of athletes and host cities of major sporting events, while also contributing to the development and support of Asian sports.
As earlier reported, Otabek Umarov was elected Vice President of the Olympic Council of Asia for the Central Asian region during the 44th OCA General Assembly in New Delhi.
