Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As of the third quarter, 936 enterprises registered in IT Park are providing digital services abroad, according to the press service of IT Park.
Since the beginning of the year, the number of exporters among IT companies has increased by 70%, with more than a third of residents generating income from exports.
Among the new 434 resident exporters, 223 companies offer IT services (custom software development, technical support, modifications), 190 companies provide outsourcing and other services to foreign clients, and 21 companies operate in the creative industry and GameDev.
The total number of IT Park residents at the end of the third quarter stands at 2,384.
From July to September, over 200 IT companies with foreign participation were registered, including 84 joint ventures established by investors from 52 countries, including the USA, UK, Germany, France, China, Japan, UAE, and India.
The geography of exported digital products and services covers 78 countries, compared to 58 countries served by local tech companies the previous year.
North America remains the leader in export volume, accounting for 45% of foreign revenue. This is followed by CIS countries and the Asia-Pacific region (27%), European markets (21%), and the Middle East and North Africa (6%).
From January to September of this year, IT Park Uzbekistan resident startups attracted investments totaling over $124.7 million. The number of promising startup projects has increased to 200, with total investments in startups exceeding $141 million.
In 2024, several foreign venture funds invested in Uzbek startup projects. For example, Arzon Apteka, a startup project by FOM Group, raised $6 million. Additionally, the startups Zip24 and Zypl AI received investments from the international company Plug and Play, which invested about $375,000 in Uzbek startups. Local venture funds, such as AloqaVentures, UZVC, and Uzcard VC, also invested around $1 million in the development of Uzbek startups.
