Over 7.362bn soums to be directed to tourism development in Syrdarya region
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Government of Uzbekistan approved a programme of targeted measures on developing tourism and increasing export potential of tourism services in Syrdarya region for 2011-2012.

Uzbektourism national company said that within the programme it is planned to create new opportunities for tourists.

The complex measures includes works on developing hotel sector, which currently represented by only two organizations. It is planned to modernize Complex Autoservice Point with creation of hotel on its base in the future and construction of hotel along Tashkent-Samarkand highway.

Syrdrya region is located near one of the longest rivers of Central Asia, Syrdatya, and it has potential to develop ecologic tourism. Syrdarya Tourism LLC will receive land area for development of ecologic tourism in these areas.

Regional museum will be created on the base of historic establishment “House of Graf U.Alekseev”, where tourists can familiarize with history of the region.

The programme with the budget of 7.362 billion soums envisages measures on training skilled personnel for toursm sector of the region.
