Reasonable price, comfortable interior, and compliance with modern technical requirements of UzDaewooAuto cars – Lacetti, Nexia, Matiz and Damas – finds them high demand in the market, both local and international.

The use of the most advanced technical equipment makes it possible for the producer to continuously increase production volumes. Last year, UzDaewooAuto produce over 140,000 cars, and this year the output is to reach 170,000.

The plant is expected to meet full projected capacity in 2008. It will produce up to 200,000 automobiles yearly.

The producer is also giving attention to the localization of the production of component parts. By the end of the year production will be localized to 60%, UzA reported.

Within the frame of the Agreement on Strategic Cooperation signed between Uzbekistan and GMDAT during the May visit of the Head of the General Motors Daewoo Auto and Technology Michael Grimaldi, Matiz and Nexia automobiles will be modernized based on the requirements of the Euro III standards. Also, the agreement envisages the training of the plant’s staff, and further expansion of cooperation in this direction.
