The session considered introduction and development of information-communication technologies in 2009 and perspectives for 2010.

The session said enterprises of communication and information-communication technologies rendered services for 1.7 trillion soums, which is up by 16% year-on-year.

The enterprises rendered services for 1.09 trillion soums or 62% of revenue to population in 2009. The figure rose by 24.2% year-on-year.

The sector attracted US$382.34 million or 543.3 billion soums foreign investments to realize projects. The annual plan for 2009 was fulfilled by 191%. The enterprises also invested 70.4 billion soums in 2009.

The session said as of 1 January 2010, 958 enterprises render data transfer services, including Internet services. Number of public internet access points reached 1,000. Total speen of access to international information networks reached 1.2 gigabit per second.

Number of domains registered in .UZ zone exceeded 9,700, the session said.
