During work of Uzbektourism, the volume of internal and outbound tourism rose from 461,020 to 965,700 people, the release reads.

Uzbekistan significantly improved transport and hotel infrastructure, opened new aviation, railway and automobile routes during the independence years, the statement said.

Currently, Uzbekistan offers over 100 tourism routes on ancient and modern territory of the country. Tourists can familiarize themselves with ancient museum cities, religious and natural monuments, centers of handicrafts, traditions and holidays of Uzbek people.

The release said that Uzbekistan developed products on mountain tourism, hunting and fishing tourism, extreme tourism, cities of Silk Road, which served as cooperation channel.
