Over 212,000 Uzbek companies fall into the lowest sustainability category

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A large-scale assessment of the sustainability ratings of business entities is underway in Uzbekistan, analyzing the activities of 527,521 economic subjects.

According to the Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, 281,619 of these are registered as turnover taxpayers, and 245,902 pay value-added tax (VAT).

As of 25 March 2025, entrepreneurs have been distributed across rating categories as follows: 8,213 entities received high ratings (AAA, AA, A), 75,769 fall into the medium category (BBB, BB, B), 230,663 received a satisfactory rating (CCC, CC, C), and 212,876 companies were assigned to category D.

The largest number of enterprises with high sustainability is registered in Tashkent (3,088 entities), Tashkent region (764 entities), and Samarkand region (738 entities).

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry, together with the Tax Committee, is actively supporting entrepreneurs whose rating indicators are in the medium and low ranges, providing them with practical assistance in improving their financial sustainability.
