Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In Uzbekistan, 20,329 legal entities operate in the field of public catering, the Tax Committee said in a statement. In 2023, their trade turnover amounted to 8.4 trillion soums, and the amount of taxes they paid was 348 billion soums.

About 143,500 legal entities operate in the trade sector. Last year, their trade turnover exceeded 20.1 trillion soums, and the amount of taxes paid amounted to 449.4 billion soums.

Of the 20,300 entrepreneurs operating in the public catering sector, 18,300 are turnover tax payers, 2 thousand are VAT payers.

It is worth noting that 18,300 VAT payers created 43,3 thousand jobs, i.e. 2 jobs per organization, and 2 thousand VAT payers created 33.3 thousand jobs (an average of 17 jobs per organization).

For 18,300 payers of turnover tax, daily receipts average 95.8 thousand soums, and for 2 thousand VAT payers, average daily receipts amount to 739 thousand soums.
