Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — District inspectors from the Department of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change of Tashkent regularly conduct monitoring activities to prevent the dumping of waste in unauthorized locations.
Specifically, this year, the Department has identified a total of 2,226 violations of the law in the capital. Of these, 2,201 were committed by individuals, and 25 by legal entities.
Protocols for violations have been drawn up under the relevant articles of the Code of Administrative Responsibility. Fines have been imposed on violators totaling 994.65 million soums.
In addition, explanatory work is being carried out with citizens regarding the prohibition of dumping waste in unauthorized locations, emphasizing that waste does not decompose quickly and harms the environment, which carries liability under the law.
