Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In August-September this year, 2.1 million doses of the Russian flu vaccine “Grippolplus” were imported to Uzbekistan. This drug is intended for free vaccination of risk groups, which include teachers, health workers, as well as teachers and pupils of preschool educational organizations, the press service of the Committee of Sanitary-Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health (Sanitary and Epidemiological Committee) said.

“150,230 employees of preschool educational organizations, 509,443 employees of secondary schools, 491,837 medical workers and 948,490 students of state preschool educational organizations will be vaccinated against influenza free of charge,” the statement says.

It is clarified that centralized vaccination has begun in Jizzakh region. Thus, for these purposes, 142 vaccination points have been organized in medical institutions, as well as another 74 in schools and kindergartens. The vaccination teams involve 174 doctors and 202 health workers.

Moreover, since the start of vaccination in the region, 13,663 school workers, 3,130 employees and 13,779 students of preschool educational organizations, as well as 10,757 medical workers have been vaccinated. In addition, we are talking about 41,329 representatives of other segments of the population, the committee added.
