The sum of the seized pyrotechnic products is 264 million soums.

In 2008, the law enforcement agencies recorded 63 cases of illegal attempts to smuggle pyrotechnic products into Uzbekistan. They seized 1.5 million units of pyrotechnic goods for 35 million soums.

As earlier reported, the Government of Uzbekistan undertaken measures to prevent illegal smuggling of pyrotechnic goods and their turnover in the Uzbek markets.
