Over 10,000 children to get presidential gifts
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
About 10,350 New Year presents of the President of Uzbekistan will be handed over to orphan children, children with disabilities and children from low income and many children families.
According to the information service of the Ministry of Public Education of Uzbekistan, about 11,000 New Year gifts of the President were prepared and delivered to regions of the country.
The Uzbek ministry said that the gifts include 12 types of educational accessories and 14 types of sweets.
It added that some 6,546 gifts were delivered to Karakalpakstan and nine regions of Uzbekistan via Uzbekistan Havo Yollari aircrafts on 22-25 December 2011.
On 26 December, about 3,807 presents were sent to Tashkent, Syrdarya and Jizzakh regions, and Tashkent city via motor transport.
