During the meeting, it was noted that Uzbekistan pays great attention to ensuring international consent, UzA reported.
It was said that international and inter-religious tolerance is peculiarity of historic development of Uzbekistan and ensuring international and inter-religious tolerance in Uzbekistan is one of priority direction of state policy.
It was said that currently there are 140 national cultural centers in Uzbekistan, which help to meet spiritual needs of the population and contribute to strengthening international relations, peace and friendship.
Knut Vollebaek said that Uzbekistan pays great attention to strengthening international consent. He noted that all nationalities in Uzbekistan have equal rights and interests.
OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities Knut Vollebaek also visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education, Institute for Strategic Interregional Research of Uzbekistan and National Human Rights Center.
