Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Aziz Voitov met with a delegation of Jiangsu Greenscie Chemical Company of the People’s Republic of China.

The participants of the meeting noted the important role of certification according to international standards of fertilizers and pesticides in order to grow high-quality fruits and vegetables in the Republic of Uzbekistan for further export to China and third countries. Based on this, measures were discussed to develop the production of fertilizers and pesticides and attract investment in this sector.

The meeting also considered proposals for establishing bilateral cooperation on conducting joint research on fertilizers and pesticides, the most adapted to the climatic and soil conditions of the Republic of Uzbekistan; organization of demonstration plots to determine the effectiveness of fertilizers; to study China’s experience in regulating the fertilizer and pesticide market; as well as organizing the production of fertilizers and pesticides with the involvement of Chinese investment.

The parties agreed to work together to further deepen mutual cooperation in this area.
