“The Case of Mozart” is a play, which unites opera of Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov “Mozart and Salieri” and selected parts of Mozart’s Requiem. This is opera-fantasy, which tries to find answers to question “Who could be Mozart and Salieri in the twenty-first century”.

In Tashkent, the opera by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov "Mozart and Salieri" was played last time about 25 years ago.

The idea to stage this opera in conjunction with selected parts of the Requiem by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is connected with the desire to reveal the musical dramaturgy of this work, written in the late XIX century, in the context of the events taking place at the beginning of the second decade of the XXI century.

Director of the opera is Geogiy Dmitriyev. Conducter is Aziz Shohakimov, laureate of Nihol state award and winner of international competitions.
