Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 29 January 2025, the Tourism Committee organized a meeting in the format of an "Open Dialogue" with more than 700 representatives from Uzbekistan’s tourism sector. The event brought together specialists from regional studios, hotels, guesthouses, tour operators, travel agencies, and transportation organizations.

The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Tourism Committee, Umid Shadiev, and Committee staff, as well as representatives from the Transport, Finance and Economics, Tax, and Customs Committees, the Chamber of Commerce, the Association of Hotels, and the Association of Private Tourism Organizations. During the meeting, the work done in the tourism sector in 2024 was discussed, and priority tasks for 2025 were outlined.

Special attention was given to issues related to the development of domestic and international tourism, infrastructure improvement, service quality enhancement, and the development of marketing and advertising. Tour operators shared their suggestions for addressing problems related to attracting foreign tourists and proposed ideas to improve the competitive environment.

As part of the event, a session of the Public Council for Tourism Development was held, where discussions focused on the introduction of innovative technologies, improving cooperation between the public and private sectors, and training professionals in the tourism field.

At the conclusion of the meeting, practical steps were developed to address existing problems and create new opportunities for the development of tourism in Uzbekistan.
