Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 4 February 2021, Mari Pangestu, World Bank Managing Director of Development Policy and Partnership (http://bit.ly/2MWOE24) held an online meeting with Jamshid Kuchkarov, Deputy Prime Minister for Financial and Economic Issues and Poverty Reduction, Timur Ishmetov, Minister of Finance, Jamshid Khodjaev, Minister of Agriculture, and Eldor Tulyakov, Executive Director of the Development Strategy Center.

The parties discussed the role of World Bank’s knowledge, research and advisory products and services in implementing and developing transformative reforms in the country. 

The Bank’s financial and technical assistance in various socio-economic spheres was comprehensively analyzed. For example, in the field of poverty eradication and agricultural modernization. It was noted that the above-mentioned products and services contribute to the formation of a competitive and sustainable market economy in Uzbekistan.
