Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During the Second UN Food Systems Summit (UNFSS+4), Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov met with Francesco Lollobrigida, Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry of the Italian Republic.

In a substantive discussion, the two sides explored ways to further strengthen cooperation in the agricultural sector. Particular attention was given to opportunities for collaboration in improving the agricultural insurance system, sharing advanced technologies, and implementing joint projects based on practical experience.

The Italian side invited Uzbekistan’s delegation to participate in the World Food Forum, which will be held in Rome on October 14–18 this year under the auspices of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).

In addition, on the sidelines of the summit, Minister Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov held a meeting with UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina J. Mohammed.

During the conversation, the Uzbek side highlighted the high professional standards and quality organization of the summit, expressing sincere gratitude to the UN leadership and the event’s organizers.
