The sides discussed issues of cooperation between the legislative bodies and ombudsmen of the two states. They noted that the cooperation agreement signed on 11 October 2007 between the Uzbek and Spanish ombudsmen was helping develop mutual ties and agreed to expand contacts between the parliaments and the ombudsmen.

The Spanish Ombudsman also held talks with the deputy chairman of the Constitutional Court of Uzbekistan Bahtiyor Mirboboyev and visited the World Economy and Diplomacy University in Tashkent.
