The Omani private sector officials will explore the potentials and opportunities through which joint business and trade cooperation can be established to increase the volume of reciprocal trade and set up joint ventures in both countries.
OCCI Chairman Khalil bin Abdullah Al Khonji said the delegation will hold a number of meetings with Uzbek officials, businessmen and representatives of commercial and trade establishments aimed at exploring new investment and trade opportunities. We will also look into signing memorandums of understanding with the Commerce Chamber of Uzbekistan and other economic and business institutions, he said.
He said the Sultanate had previously hosted a business delegation representing a number of sectors in Uzbekistan.
We hope that the visit would meet its aspired goals and open up a new horizon of cooperation between the two sides, particularly in the augmentation of trade exchange and benefiting from the expertise of Uzbekistan in the field of technology, Al Khonji said.
The visit would provide the Omani delegation with the opportunity to acquaint itself with the economic and commercial opportunities in Uzbekistan.
