“My dear, I want to share great news with you. Today I received a letter from the IOC that I was chosen as one of the candidates to the athletes commission. I want to express my gratitude to the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan and the IOC for the selection of my candidacy,” Oksana Chusovitina said.

Earlier, the head of the IOC, Thomas Bach, said that currently there are 30 candidates for the athletes commission, four of whom “will be able to become full members of the IOC” on the last day of the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
