Oil and gas production declines in Uzbekistan, while coal output increases
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In January–February 2025, Uzbekistan produced 7.3 billion cubic meters of natural gas, according to the National Statistics Committee.
Compared to the same period last year, production decreased by 4.27%.
The country’s enterprises also reduced oil extraction, dropping from 118.5 thousand tons to 105.8 thousand tons, marking a decline of 10.72%.
Gas condensate production fell by 10.3%, amounting to 192.6 thousand tons.
At the same time, coal production increased by 11.35% in the first two months of 2025, reaching 733.8 thousand tons, according to data from the National Statistics Committee.
