Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Ohongoron Sement MS has refuted reports that the Indian company Shriram EPC FZE is building a cement plant in Uzbekistan worth over US$325 million.

On 19 August, UzDaily reported that Shriram EPC FZE, a subsidiary of the Export Promotion Council, had won a project to construct a cement plant in Uzbekistan. This information was disseminated by the Indian company.

However, Ohongoron Sement MS has stated that this information is inaccurate.

According to company representatives, Ohongoron Sement MS has not conducted a tender for the construction of a cement plant and has not signed any relevant contracts.
